I have nine years of experience in developing websites mostly for teaching and learning. Most notably I have co–developed the online MBA for Heriot Watt University, Timber Engineering Online and E-Pedagogy Online for Napier University. My interests oscillate around visual arts: painting, film and photography. I completed an equivalent of HND in Art and Design in Wroclaw, Poland, and then studied for an MA in History of Art at Edinburgh University (1996) before embarking on a post-graduate conversion course in IT (Multimedia Technology). For over a year now I've been a voluteer director of the Wester Hailes Youth Agency and this summer I have also started training to be a mentor with Move On.

I became interested in web-site design when I had to finish the programming for my own website a few years ago. Since then I've taught myself CSS and XHTML and developed an unhealthy fascination with website performance tweaks, in addition to learning a slew of applications from sound programs to graphics packages. I'm also a freelance editor and proofreader for a wide range of topics, from children's books to academic papers.
My interests include film and photography (mainly using an old Olympus OM-10) and graphic design/novels.
